About Us
Forty years of floors.
One family behind them.
Floors For Work is the commercial division of James Flooring LLC — a family-owned Ohio flooring company with four decades in the trade and stores in Springfield and Lima.
Why a commercial division?
Commercial flooring is a different trade than residential. The specs are stricter, the schedules are tighter, and the buildings can't close while you work. After forty years of doing both, we built Floors For Work so architects, property managers, and facility directors get a team that does commercial work exclusively — heat welding, flash coving, wet-area systems, and the project management that keeps a job on schedule.
The commercial program is led by Virginia Powell, our Commercial Manager. One point of contact from your first call to the final walkthrough.
Who we work with
Architects & Designers
Spec support, product submittals, and honest feedback when a spec won't survive the traffic it's getting. We answer bid invitations completely and on time.
Property & Facility Managers
Tenant turns, phased replacements, and emergency repairs — with night and weekend crews so your building never stops working.
Maintenance Managers
A contractor who shows up when scheduled, works safely inside active facilities, and leaves the site cleaner than we found it.
